Horse Racing Selections for Wednesday 21st March

Allmyown was an easy winner yesterday in a depleted race of just four runners. Still, a good winner at 5-2 and maybe more to come from him. Some better racing for Wednesday, and I’ll be having five bets spread across the two jumps meetings at Chepstow and Haydock:

Here are all my selections for Wednesday:

  • 2.50 Chep: The Last Day
  • 3.15 Hay: Hills Of Dubai
  • 3.50 Hay: Lord County
  • 4.00 Chep: Market Road
  • 4.30 Chep: Take ‘Em Out

Horse Racing Selections for Tuesday 20th March

Back in action today after the Cheltenham Festival and subsequent bad weather over the weekend. Not the most profitable Cheltenham for me overall, but many of my selections ran well without troubling the judges. No excuses though. That’s the nature of tipping horses. Back to more mundane fare today, and I’ll be having just the one bet for Tuesday at around the 4-1 mark:

    • 4.10 Wetherby: Allmyown

Cheltenham Selections for Friday 16th March

Shattered Love was my only winner yesterday but I got just over 8-1 on Betfair so a slight profit on the day. Friday’s best race is undoubtedly the Gold Cup at 3.30 and this year’s race looks very competitive with many in with a great chance. Might Bite and Native River will fight for favourite status and both are rightly leading contenders, but I am going to side with Road To Respect who appears to be on the upgrade and could represent a bit of value at around 11-1 at time of writing. My best bet of the card runs in the last at 5.30. Theinval has previous good form in this race and will like the going. Laid out for this race and sure to go close given the needed luck in running with such a large field.

Here are all my selections for Friday:

  • 1.30: Saldier
  • 2.10: Flying Tiger
  • 2.50: Chef Des Obeaux
  • 3.30: Road To Respect
  • 4.10: Foxrock
  • 4.50: Diese Des Bieffes
  • 5.30: Theinval

Cheltenham Selections for Thursday 15th March

A couple of short priced winners only for Wednesday so hoping for a better return today. My best bet today runs again the last race at 5.30. Aubusson should relish both the trip and the testing going and is sure to run a big race at a cracking each way price of around 20-1. The big race of the day sees the admirable Cue Card run again at the Festival in the Ryanair Chase at 2.50. Despite his advancing years, he still holds plenty of ability and is sure to run his race. The value bet here though could be in the youngster Frodon. He’ll relish the going and loves the track, having won his last two starts here and is currently double Cue Card’s odds at around 11-1.

Here are all my selections for Thursday:

  • 1.30: Shattered Love
  • 2.10: Forza Milan
  • 2.50: Frodon
  • 3.30: The Worlds End
  • 4.10: Viconte Du Noyer
  • 4.50: Maria’s Benefit
  • 5.30: Aubusson

Cheltenham Selections for Wednesday 14th March

Not a bad start to Cheltenham with a couple of winners and placed selections. My best bet for Wednesday runs in the last race at 5.30. Acey Milan will love the ground and has his regular jockey Aidan Coleman back on board. He looks sure to run a great race and is a cracking bet at around 7-1. The big race of the day is the Queen Mother Champion Chase at 3.30. I expect Altoir to be just too classy here and expect him to extend his unbeaten record at the expense of Min. Special Tiara may creep into a place at a very big price.

Here are all my selections for the first day:

  • 1.30: Samcro
  • 2.10: Monalee
  • 2.50: Red Indian
  • 3.30: Altior
  • 4.10: Hurricane Darwin
  • 4.50: Mitchouka
  • 5.30: Acey Milan

Cheltenham Selections for Tuesday 13th March

Able Jack was a nice easy 5-1 winner yesterday – hopefully indicating a return to form just in time for the start of the Cheltenham Festival. My best bet on the first day runs in the 2.50. This trip is going to take some getting given the ground, but Vincente should cope very well with conditions and will be plugging on when others have called it a day. Decent each way shout at around the 16-1 mark. Beware The Bear is another who should go close in the race. I’ll have a small saver bet on him as well.

Here are all my selections for the first day:

  • 1.30: Kalashnikov
  • 2.10: Footpad
  • 2.50: Vincente [ saver on Beware The Bear]
  • 3.30: Faugheen [E/W]
  • 4.10: Apple’s Jade
  • 4.50: Rathvinden
  • 5.30: Tycoon Prince
